Melvin Sanchez has been a competitive gymnast and dancer for most of his life. A native of Honduras, he represented his country as part of their national team before becoming a gymnastics coach and choreographer. He has performed with several dance companies, in Honduras, Washington D.C., and Richmond, Virginia. He coaches full time, but still finds time to perform and collaborate with local artists and companies.
Sayaw!Diversity (Sayaw means dance in the Philippines) is a non-profit, volunteer group that was founded in February 2017 to promote the Filipino culture and integrating other cultures through performing arts. Our mission is to inspire and enrich the lives of people in our communities. The group is diverse in age, ethnic background, dance genre and culture. The group has been invited and has performed in various festivals and events in the area and outlying areas.
